Documenting the Dancing: A weekly self-portrait
CoCo is capturing images of dancing alone in the studio on a weekly basis to document her dancing life. After years of studio practice, she realizsed that she didn't have many documents of those crazy creative times, so now she is commited to recording those dancing moments.

CoCo has just finished 2007-08 as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Dance at OSU. It's was a wonderful year and she looks forward to continuing her close relationship with OSU's remarkable dance community.

This experience was a truly fantastic one. CoCo is looking forward to dancing with Colleen again in the near future!

Restaging "Small Talk" via adaptation by Jennifer S. Howard
This original was made as a class assignment for Vera J. Blaine's Weight Studies class at OSU in 2004. It was the final exercise in the weight subject of "Lightness".

The solo was then restaged (2007) by writing a script of the sequence of the actions (actual movement, gestural and spatial components) and motivations (verbal language cues) of the dance. Set to dueling waltzes mixed live from laptops, the solo progressed as an improvisational conversation between woman and her fan man with the script serving as a structural and informational score.

This latest version is being created in the opposite direction. The script has been given to Jenny and she will create the dance from what she interprets from the written word.

The new "Small Talk" WAS performed by Jennifer s. howard at AGORA 2008 on Saturday, April 19, 2008.

CoCo made 2 New Works for this very cool collaboration between OSU's Department of Dance and Percussion Ensemble.

OSU Faculty Member Susan Hadley also presented a new work as well along with OSU MFA Alumnus Teena Custer and current graduate students, Adriana Durant and Noelle Chun.
